Robert Dudley: Norfolk just confirmed it. Mary lays dying, soon to meet her maker. Those she burned will be waiting to watch the judgement. Instead I am riding out to Hever and visit with Elizabeth to give her the news. God is good. The road was very dangerous for my dearest, but it now leads to the crown. Long may she reign. As I approach Hever, I see her with Kat and Blanche, dancing in the gardens. I lay back before approach and watch them, so care free now, I do hate to spoil the moment. Oh there, she caught sight of me. I ride on over and dismount my steed. I bow most graciously, “Good Afternoon, Ladies. Your dance does my heart good.” I motion to Kat, and she and Blanche begin walking back to the estate.

Elizabeth Tudor: “Oh Robin, what a beautiful day it is!” A bit short of breath from dancing, I take a seat. “What ever brings you here today? You can never stay away from me can you?” I say with a smile, but then I see in his eyes; it is not of good news. ”Or is that my sister bids me to to London. You must tell her I am ill!” I begin to panic at the thought of her ordering to and from her castle. Each trip has hardened my heart toward her more and more. “She will force me to sign or burn me, or Gods Robin, I won’t see her. No.”

Robert Dudley: I sit beside, my Elizabeth who soon I must share and take her hand. “Shhhhhhh…. love. Mary… she is dying. Arch Bishop Pole has given her the last rights. Soon, my dearest, you shall be queen if you aren’t already so.”

Elizabeth Tudor: My heart skips many beats; too many. Over whelmed with the news I have long expected, but yet it still hurts — and yet I am relieved. I look to my Robin and lay my head into his chest and weep. I know that I will compose myself and ride intoEngland stronger than ever but now, for this moment I will mourn the sister that I once knew — the one that cared for me and protected me when we were young. What a disappointment I was to her; in that lay the irony of the disappointment she was to not only me but the great Kingdom my father built. I raise my head and look to him. “My soul, my heart is torment. I am conflicted with the greatest of sorrow for I have no other of kin to call on, but I am happy.” Batting back tears, I take a kerchief he offers. “Am I a bad soul? Am I my fathers daughter in that I see victory in the death of mine own family?” A side of me I will never allow another to see. Words spoken that are only meant for mine dear heart to hear and never to share. In need of comfort I embrace him as tight as if he were my air I breath and wait to hear words of comfort I am sure he will have for me.

Robert Dudley: I hold Elizabeth close and whisper in her ear. “You were meant to reign, dearest. Every thing you have been through, every thing you have worked for will lead you to your destiny.” I kiss her softly, and speak sincerely. “And love, I fear if the Lord does not take Mary, than she will ultimately take you. Like your father before you, Elizabeth, you were born to rule, and you shall to his greatest achievement and more. You are his blood, but with your own mind. A tyrant no, but brilliant and thoughtful yes. England will reap the glory.”

Elizabeth Tudor: “You sooth my aching heart.” I take his face into my hands and kiss him. “Then my first command as Queen of England is that you, (I say with emphasis) Sir Robert Dudley, my Robin, well never leave my side. You will ride into England with my parade of steeds. You will be mine forever more.” I begin to feel a bit stronger and stand. I pull him to me. “Tonight, when the sunsets, we will dance, for tomorrow we will ride into London and take what is rightful mine by blood, law and God’s good given grace.”

Robert Dudley: ”Yes, my Queen. Once the ring is on your hand, we shall go. If not tomorrow, then soon thereafter.” I lift her into my arms. “Elizabeth, while you are still just mine, let me love you… if not completely, at least with passion.” I kiss her lovingly in the French style, and carry her back towards the estate. “Shall we go inside now?”

Elizabeth Tudor: ”You will love me, no, not completely as you say, but you will bend the knee.” I laugh. “Let us go to my chamber and feast. I need you tonight. I need you always. But tonight you will not leave my side to breathe!” I rest in his arms, once in my chamber, I lie back on my bed and begin to dream of a new world that soon will be mine. I look to Robin and more than wish I could share it all with him. But no, I rule alone.

Robert Dudley: As she lies on the bed, I follow her lead and bend a knee. I say with erotic passion rather than reverence, “Your Majesty, command me. Tell me your greatest desire. I am yours.”

Thomas Cromwell: (I am awaiting Sir Thomas More’s arrival to meet with His Majesty. Once that is done and over with, I will keep my promise to Nicoleen and resign the King’s service.)

(Watch You Tube before reading below… I promise, it’s worth it.)

Henry Tudor: ‎*I sit on my throne speaking with Thomas Cromwell of our success. The Clergy has submitted to me. I then hear a guard announce Sir Thomas More. *He enters* “Sir Thomas” *I say with a peaceful heart mind.*

Thomas Cromwell: (The asshole walks by me…. I wish I could trip him.)

Thomas More:  ~I enter the throne room with one thought in mind, I resign this day. I am full disbelief that the clergymen have taken the information this donkey Thomas Cromwell has fed them. I see my King. His eyes are peaceful, With a heavy heart, Ibow~ “Your majesty” ~I then kneel at the feet of his throne~ “I come to offer my resignation from my post as Lord Chancellor” ~As I say these words I feel that bastards presence in the room. It is as if the devil himself is breathing skaata in this room.~ I beg you my King to allow me refuge away from court so that I may ready my mind for the Lord, his work and my family. You see I have found the great seal a weight that I can no longer bare. I have it here.” ~holds the seal up and meets his majesties eyes.~ “In the most humble of hopes that you will accept its return.” ~Give it to that Jackass behind me PLEASE!!! DAMN , here he comes~

Thomas Cromwell: (I instantly recognize a major problem…. Oh My God… That man is determined to ruin my life…. As the King nods my way, I walk up to the bastard, and glare right through the dog. I accept the great seal for safe keeping, and return to the back of the room…. irate, but composed.)

Henry Tudor: ‎*I have seen this coming. I knew Thomas More would not be pleased with this. After Thomas Cromwell takes the seal, I glare at him*

Thomas More: ‎~I meet Thomas Cromwell’s eyes and glare at the devil. Please Dear father God do not let him touch me. He takes the seal. Phew, I escaped the evil bastards touch.~

Thomas Cromwell: ( I wish I could shove the seal up his ass.)

Henry Tudor: ‎”I most willing allow you to resign. Retreat to your life with God. You have always been a gentleman both in public and private. You have held your loyalty to me first most. You have been a good friend to me Sir Thomas More” *

Thomas Cromwell: (His Majesty is too kind…. He should send the dickhead to the tower. How dare he do this? Now?)

Thomas More: ‎”Your Majesty, I swear on my honor that I will never speak publicly of your great matter. I must unburden my heart one time only. ~And like this jackass in the room hear it all!~ After I say this I swear to never speak of it again, public or private. As your once truest confidant” ~UNLIKE THE DEVIL BEHIND ME! PLEASE READ BETWEEN THE LINES MAJESTY! I pause for a response from my King~ ” may I continue your majesty?”

Henry Tudor: ‎*Motions my hand and nods for him to go on………If he mentions Catherine…..begins to feel the rage rising!*

Thomas Cromwell: (Holy Shit. Don’t tell me he is going to actually spew to His Majesty about his love and devotion to the Dowager. Shoot me dead now.)

Thomas More: ‎”I am of the deepest belief that if your Majesty could reconcile with Queen Catherine, the realm could be mended and healed. The division within the realm would have cause to come together again.”

Thomas Cromwell: (stifles a laugh)

Henry Tudor: ‎*Did he really just call HER THE FUCKING QUEEN?*

Thomas Cromwell: (Did he really just call HER THE FUCKING QUEEN?)

Thomas More: ‎”Now that I have said this, I will never mention it again My King.” ~Begins to retreat backwards, Thank God I will not have to look Satan in the eye.~

Thomas Cromwell: (Oh My God. This man has a death wish.)

Henry Tudor: ‎”Thomas, you will honor that promise for if you ever” *ponds my fist on the arm of my throne* “make a public mention of you feelings, there will be a price you my friend will pay.*

Thomas Cromwell: (Go ahead, More…. say it again. Do it.)

Thomas More: ‎*Nods and retreats, damn there is Satan, shivers, that man should be set a fire*

Henry Tudor: ‎*feelings of dispare overwhelm me. Saddens me. I look to Thomas Cromwell and notice he seems to be feeling the same way* Thomas, what are your thoughts?

Thomas Cromwell: “Well, Your Majesty…. I know you trust Sir Thomas, but there are many capable men who could step in and be Lord Chancellor and Chief Minister… Sir Thomas Audley, for example. Or even Sir Richard Rich. In fact, anyone could be replaced. Sir Richard could do my job quite capably too for that matter.

Henry Tudor: ‎“Yes, I have in mind the man for the job. And as for you Thomas Cromwell, I will need you to head Chair of committee to oversee the canons of the Church of England. There is no other man for the job. Your works for the submission of clergy has earned you this position. I proudly bestow it upon you.”

Henry Tudor: ‎”I also will bestow another title of most honor to you for indeed you have most honorable earned it ” *My heart is still so heavy oh Thomas More,* “You are know Chief Minister of England” *I smile as this has lifted my heart*

Thomas Cromwell: (Holy Shit… now what? Damn. Face shows stunned look, there’s no hiding it.) “Your Majesty, your benevolence and confidence in me is a great honor and I am very touched, but I could not possibly….”

Henry Tudor: ‎”SILENCE! You will not pretend to be humble and act that you not wish for these graces I have given you.”

Thomas Cromwell: ”Yes, Your Majesty. I am most honoured. Thank you. I pray to never fail your trust in me.” (bows) (How am I supposed to explain this to Nicoleen?)

Henry Tudor: ‎”Leave me now” *Waves him out*

From Thomas Cromwell to Thomas More

Guest Writer: Thomas Cranmer, Mercy Alicea

Queen Anne Tudor: ~The time was growing closer and closer. I knew I did not have much time. It was getting difficult to simply live as I ought to. I had some business that I needed to attend to. I wanted to talk to Thomas Cromwell and my dear friend, Thomas Cranmer. I had to find out how all the rest of the plans were proceeding. I beckoned them both to my chambers. I was as comfortable as I could be. I had no intention of moving at all. As Queen, I needed to talk to them both. My chamberlain announced them.

Thomas Cromwell: Dearest Thomas and I are at the Cat N’ Fiddle, relaxing after a long week at court when a page arrives with a message from the queen. Damn…. this woman is a pest sometimes. I read the parchment and state, ”Thomas, Her Majesty wants to meet with us immediately in her chambers. Don’t be nervous… she does not bite, she just orchestrates the downfall of His Majesty’s ministers. Plus, she loves you… God knows why…” I chuckle so he knows I am joking.

Thomas Cranmer: *I smile* She knows that I will not only protect her marriage and status as Queen of England, I will also work in the success of our reforms with all I have… together, we will change this Kingdom, and perhaps the heart of all Europe my friend.

Thomas Cromwell: I nudge his shoulder. ”We need to leave now. If we are later than she thinks we should be, the woman will be on me, not you.” Thomas nods, and we head back to court. Once we arrive at Her Majesty’s Chambers, Lady Jane Boleyn tugs on my cape and whispers, ”I have something to tell you later.” I nod in acknowledgment, and the chamberlain then announces our arrival. Poor dearest Thomas. He is so nervous he nearly trips over his feet. Upon entry, we both bend a knee. To spare Thomas I state, ”How may we be of assistance to you, Your Majesty?”

Queen Anne Tudor: ~I smile to my loyal subjects. I do trust them. Although, Cromwell has a certain air about him. I shall not think of that now. ”Your Eminence and Mr. Secretary, how fares you?” I smile slightly and give them a nod, but I am too impatient and uncomfortable to put on pleasantries for too long. I get right to the point. ”I have called you today for one purpose only. I need to know how the Act of Succession is proceeding and what of the reformation?”~

Thomas Cromwell: I look over at Her Majesty respectfully. ”Your Majesty, I have the act drafted in full, and it is submitted to Parliament for consideration. The act will easily pass the House of Commons, as I can bribe a few people to get the votes in, but the House of Lords is another matter. His Majesty has strong armed both Suffolk and Norfolk to push the votes there. I expect it will pass by the time our future king is born.”

Thomas Cranmer: “Your Majesty, we are working hard in bring our reforms to the priority level of this Kingdom. With God’s blessing, England will come out of the darkness of the idolatry and superstitions of the Catholic Faith; your majesty will be pleased, as well as the King.” *I smile and nod respectfully to the Queen*

Queen Anne Tudor: ~I spoke carefully, ”I will be very pleased if you will tell me what I want to hear. I ask first about the Act of Succession. Is it certain that the Dowager’s daughter will be illegitimate? Is it sure that my child will reign when the time is right? As well, this act will recognize my King, Lord, and Husband as supreme in all of Christendom? Please tell me quickly…”I could feel my energy draining.

Thomas Cromwell: ”Yes Majesty. Although there is no language in the act that states Lady Mary is a bastard, the inference is clear. Stating such directly in the language of the act would impact it’s ability to pass both houses.” I look to dearest Thomas, ”Why don’t you enlighten Her Majesty on your progress reigning in the clergy, Your Grace?”

Thomas Cranmer: *I smile to my good friend and then I look at the Queen* “I am filling all vacant positions in all Religious Houses with Reformist view clergymen. I am even making use of some of the disbanded abbeys to spread the word and develop our ideas of reform. And of course, increasing the love of the people towards the new monarchy, showing them the advantages and of course, the pious and kind mind of your majesty, in your interests to the Kingdom.”

Queen Anne Tudor: ~I thought for a moment taking the message and reassurance from these men. They are loyal to the King and myself. I smiled. ”You are both right. This pleases me exceedingly. We need to spread the true Word of God. People have been misguided for too long. We shall make it right. Any other reports for me?”~

Thomas Cromwell: ”Of course, Majesty. His Grace and I are working closely in partnership to assure this realm converts swiftly to the true religion. The quicker this is accomplished, the more secure the babe in your belly’s reign shall be.”

Thomas Cranmer: “We are even encouraging his majesty in a great proposal; to make every citizen, clergy men, courtiers, noble men and women and servants of your majesties to swear an oath, recognizing the King as Supreme Head of the Church of England, your majesty as his legitimate wife, and all your children as rightful heirs. Those against, will be accused of High Treason, and send to prison.”

Thomas Cromwell: I smile broadly at the thought of this, as it will be my shining moment leading to ultimate knighthood I am sure. ”Majesty, this will take some time. More and Fisher oppose, and I need tread cautiously as they have the support of many. I am working to discredit them, and then will push forward.”

King Henry Tudor: After spending the day with Sir Henry Norris I feel the need to see my Queen. I walk the long corridor from my chambers towards her. The air smells of a fresh brew of ale. ”Boy, fetch me wine and apples.” I command as he sweeps low and scurries away ~tsk~ As I near her door, the guard steps aside. I hear Mister Cromwell speaking of supremacy. I listen at the door before I enter. ”Anne, what is the meaning of this?” I ask her but direct my attention toward Cromwell. He flinches and begins to straighten him self. ”Or is this a meeting that you called BUT YET I WAS NOT INVITED? No matters of my son are to be discussed without my presence . It pleases me none to see you all gathered, holding a secret meeting about the welfare of my children. I command an answer. Who shall give it then?” I look to Anne.

Queen Anne Boleyn: ~I look slightly alarmed when my husband enters. He seems quite angry, but the sight of him warms me and makes me glow. I do love him more than words can describe. ”Sweet husband, come sit by me. I am hearing how everything is progressing. I want to hear how our son shall rule the kingdom when it is time. I want to hear how our faith is becoming so important. I want to hear these glad tidings. As you know, I shall be in confinement soon and I want to hear as much as I can..” I smile sweetly, but I can feel my temperature growing. He has frightened me and I wonder how he shall respond.~

Thomas Cranmer: *The anger of the King is more than obvious; I move closer to Cromwell* ”You said not to worry, well, you failed in that, because I am, now go on and give the King an answer that calms him, I count on you my friend.”*

Thomas Cromwell: What does he think they are deaf? I glare over, and nudge him with my elbow… the message clear. Shut up, dearest Thomas.

King Henry Tudor: ”I have no need for these men to determine how MY SON IS TO rein in my own realm!” The boy has finally returned with the wine and apples I requested. ”Take them back and have the cook feed it all the pig I will feast on tomorrow.” I set my eyes upon Mister Cromwell. ”You, the man with all the words to speak has nothing to say to me?” ~tsk~ ”I am the King of England you fools! Have you forgotten that, for it appears you have.” I walk to where Anne is seated and lower myself to her. ”You and I will discuss the matters of my son at another time.” I turn from her and look the Cromwell and Cranmer. DARE NOT to ever council about my children without my consent ever again.” I take my leave with the thought on my mind. Betrayal.

Queen Anne Tudor: I can feel my anger boiling. I try to hold my tongue, but I cannot be quiet. I am the Queen and I may have an audience with who I like. I am tired and frustrated. I cry out, ”Leave me! Both of you” I glare at them.

Thomas Cranmer: *I am anxious, and I am still thinking that Cromwell went far in please the Queen with an audience without the King’s consent. I look at my friend with the anxiety that overwhealms me, I can not stay here any longer; I respectfully bow before the queen and I retreat*

Thomas Cromwell: I look back over at dearest Thomas, and then over to the queen. ”We shall take our leave, Your Majesty. My deepest apologies. I will insure the King is consulted in the future.” That bitch got me in trouble again. Tomorrow’s meeting with the King will be a nightmare. I bow deeply, and retreat. Once outside her chambers, I hold Thomas’s arm. “Let’s go to my chambers and talk.” He nods in agreement, and we walk swiftly there. I invite him to sit by the fire, and offer him my favorite drink that brings Nicoleen to me… heated water with honey. ”Dearest Thomas, do tell me what ails you so.”

Thomas Cranmer: “I will; we placed the Queen above the King and you already saw the results! You know the King’s temper and more when the subject of his son is part of an audience. We must be more careful from now on; we can not favour queen Anne above the King in matters of state, at least not like this. I hope and pray God that this… meeting has no consequences.”

Thomas Cromwell: I look at my dearest friend, always there for me — never faltering. ”I know he makes you anxious, uncomfortable. Thomas, soon you will have to meet with the King alone. He may pressure you, bellow at you, boss you, belittle you. Damn, he may even banish you from court, as he did Cardinal Wolsey. Collect your courage, dearest Thomas. In these moments, know I am with you.”

Ned Stark: (is laying in bed with his wife, holding her close) “Caitlin, I am a man of the North. I have no desire whatever to be separated from you to live among the filth of King’s Landing.”

Cateyn Stark: *Laying comfortably in my husbands arms. We have spent time making love. Feeling over whelmed with love and protection, I say to him* “I won’t let him take you. I could never just watch him take you from me, from your home, here.”

Ned Stark: (says sincerely) “Caitlin, you were amazing, dear.” (kisses her softly) “Now Robert, he be like a brother to me, but he is the King. What the King wants, the King gets. How do I get out of this?”

Catelyn Stark:  *humph* “I will walk right up to him and say, listen here fat man! You can not have him, he is mine.” *Kisses Ned passionately* “I love you too much my sweet husband. ”

Ned Stark: (says teasingly) “How did Robert get so fat then? Caitlin, he is huge. The food at King’s landing must be rich. What say you?” (smiles)

Catelyn Stark: *laughs deeply, touches his nose* “I say its the drink he likes too much!”

Ned Stark: (laughs) “Yes, I think when he is not drinking, he is eating. Such is the life of the King of Seven Kingdoms so it seems… eat, drink and sex.” (says teasingly) “Speaking of sex, do come closer dear.” (begins caressing her all over and drawing down her gown) “I so desire you.” (Master Luwin comes is without knocking, and Caitlin draws the blankets up quickly. Ned looks up.) “Master Luwin, what brings you here then?”

Catelyn Stark: “Gods Ned” *I whisper, send him away. He enters the room, I pull my gown and hear him greet us. “I received a message. A rider in the night delivered it from your sister.” *he says to me. Startled by this news I rise to and take the letter.* “It has the Errie seal. What is she doing there?” I mumble to myself. Ned rises to my side. She never went back there since we were Wed there.” I read the note, fright takes my breath. I look to Luwin, turn and race the note to the fire. I watch it burn. Every word of it burn.” Ned asks of me “What news?” I turn and choose Luwin friend or foe, I speak the truth so its of no matter. “She says Jon Arryn was murdered. She has fled the capitol.” *I see Ned is taken a back but I continue.* “She says it was the Lannisters that had this done. She say,” *I turn my back to compose myself, then I turn back to Ned. She believes the King is in danger.”

Ned Stark: (I consider my wife’s words carefully, and believe what she says to be true..) “Robert in danger? The Lannisterys? (Luwin then speaks.) “Ned, why do you think he traveled over a month to get here? You are the only man he can trust. Only you.”

Catelyn Stark: ”But what does this matter that he can only trust Ned? I am certain she is sure of the murder but how can he ask Ned to do this? Ned owes him nothing. He has spent his life fighting for him.” *Turns sharply to Luwin as he reminds Ned of his Oath and glares at him. I then walk to my husband and place my hand on his back.* “Your father and your brother rode south once and what happened? ” *Luwins unwelcome words again* “Another King….” *irritated and frantic I dismiss Luwin* “Ned say you will stay with me, that you will not go! You will not leave your home. Winter is coming and we need you. Your sons and daughters.” *I beg and weep* “Stay, please Ned, say you will not go. Please!”

Ned Stark: I look into my wife’s eyes. I know what i must do, but i just can’t find the words.

The first day of the trial has begun. The Royal crown is torn. The Queen Catherine Tudor is the Queen of all earthly Queens. The lack of her producing a male heir, the anger the King has is evident to all but, is hardly her fault.  Some of us hear Mary and Anne saying that the Royal Crown crowd is with her, and walks beside her. We then hear Anne say, “But they have NO VOTE”.  The Queen then approaches them.

Queen Catherine: “Two former ladies of mine. What did I do to upset you that you should turn against me like this?”

Anne Boleyn: “You failed to give him his heir.”

Queen Catherine:  ”And that upsets you so?”

Anne Boleyn: “What upsets the King, upsets me.”

Queen Catherine: ”How dare you.”

The court calls: “Queen of England come to court!”  The Queen is in no hurry to end this meeting with the  Boleyn whores.

Queen Catherine: ”You want me to quit the way and become a nun? Well I shall not. You want me to lie before God and admit my first marriage was consummated? Well it was not. You want me to retire and give up my daughters claim of soul rightful heir to the throne? Well I shall not. Not in a thousand years, not if you rack me to within an inch of my life. I am  Catherine, Queen of England, the King’s one true wife, the Mother of THE heir to the throne.

Proud of our Queen, we continue to follow her into the court room, stilling feeling torn. The Queen has empowered the women of England with the book she commissioned “The Education of Christian Women,” is the first of its kind.  But then there is the King, whom we LOVE .  Are hearts, minds and souls are torn, tormented. Pray God to save England.

‎Father once again insists that I prove myself a man. I am still a child. I would much rather play with Familiar than to worry of the works he pushes me to do. I am no warrior. I desire not to be a warrior. It is my desire to please the land and the creatures. I believe I am good with them. They understand me.* “SAMWELL!” *I hear my father scream. It makes me cringe so hard, I feel as though I could cry. His hatred for me, his disappointment, it echos through the lands. “Father I am coming,” I try to say with a tone of strength but even I can hear the weakness. “Familiar, you must go before father finds you.” *I place my cat on the ground and try to shoo him away. He is my favorite of all the creatures. I turn and walk away. He tries to follow me. I take him to the raven’s cage. All of ravens are in flight. If I can contain him here father will not find him. I lock the door and go to find dad. I hear him yelling at the stable boy. Something is missing. Father is always looking to battle. He rules with an Iron sword of Valyrian steel.* “Samwell, have you seen my skinning knife?” *I shake my head no vigorously.* “Of course you haven’t, ” he says insultingly. His anger is raging. He turns his attention back to the stable boy. He stares the boy down in puffs of anger. I back away. Father yields his sword, takes the boy to near by tree, holding his hand against it. He runs his sword along the boys wrist. The boy cries out in pain as father continues slowly, back and forth. I cover my face and turn away. “Samwell, come take the sword boy. A man steals he must pay the price. Finish!” *Fathers eyes never move off the boy. I begin to reach for the sword, shaking. “I……Father what….no I can’t.” *He is angry with me. But will not let go of the boy’s hand. With the blink of an eye, father rises his sword, spins and with all his might. and slams the sword into the tree cutting through the boys wrist. Horrified. I turn and run.
